Terry Nash has been a nurse at Mossy Oaks Elementary for 34 years. She’s cared for generations of families and has loved her job since Day One, when she was one of only five nurses districtwide. Once nurses were assigned to every school, Nash knew she wanted to keep her post at Mossy Oaks, but she continued to support districtwide efforts. When she offered to help the district’s new lead nurse become familiar with everyone by organizing a luncheon, Nash had no idea she was planning her own surprise. At the luncheon, Nash received the honorable distinction of “Nurse of the Year” for the school district, becoming the very first to receive the recognition.
