A pair of Whale Branch Early College High School students – JROTC Cadets Major David Mitchell and First Sergeant Daja Smalls – were recently selected to appear in a national television commercial celebrating the upcoming 100th anniversary celebration of JROTC nationwide.  More specifically, the TV commercial advertises what organizers hope will be a world-record (for the number of participants) nationwide 5K race.  After successfully passing a screening interview with the producers, Mitchell and Smalls joined four other outstanding cadets from around the country in taping the commercial.  To see it, click here:  www.jrotc5krun.com
