Not letting up

Only a month after delivering Battery Creek High’s valedictory address, Kierra Grayson is back in the news as the winner of the National Future Business Leaders of America Client Services Competition.  Kierra earned a $1,200 cash prize with her first-place finish at the FBLA National Leadership Conference in Chicago, which was attended by 12,000 students, advisors and guests from all 50 states.  In the Client Services competition, the top 15 national finalists demonstrated their speaking, problem-solving and critical thinking skills in interacting with business clients.  Kierra came out on top.  Next month, she will begin her Ivy League college career as a freshman at Cornell University, which has awarded her a full academic scholarship.  At Battery Creek High, her FBLA advisor was Desiree Mungin.
