Heartwarming on a Cold Day

A club gaining popularity at Red Cedar Elementary doesn’t focus on curriculum, sports, or the arts… it simply promotes being kind to one another. Students in the “Random Acts of Kindness Club” have dubbed themselves the RAKtivists and are spreading kindness all over their school and community. During the holiday season, the kindness elves are busy conducting a coat drive, sending thank-you notes and, even when the temperature is only in the 30s, they are passing out homemade muffins. The Red Cedar car rider line was greeted with muffins and smiles one morning before school. The RAKtivists simply wanted to brighten someone’s day. The club hopes the recipients of their good deeds will “pay it forward” to help spread the good cheer.
