Congressional art

South Carolina Congressman James E. Clyburn announced that Jestine Aho, a senior at Battery Creek High School has won the 2015 Sixth District Artistic Discovery art competition. The art competition is sponsored annually by Members of Congress and is open to all high school students. Jestine’s artwork, Praise House, will be on display in the Cannon Tunnel, which connects the House office buildings with the U.S. Capitol building. Jestine also received two airline tickets to Washington, D.C. to attend the unveiling of the exhibit and reception for winners from each Congressional district in June.
