A round of a'paws' for Sawyer

A four-legged friend helps make reading fun at Broad River Elementary School!  Sawyer is a 3-year-old English Golden Retriever therapy dog who has recently completed his first year in the Animals Make Reading Fun! (ARF!) program. He’s using his newly learned skills to help fourth-graders read with more confidence. Sawyer spends one hour each week with students, allowing them to read aloud to him as they pet him. One student said, “Reading to Sawyer helps me read better because I like having someone around when I read, and Sawyer is the best guest I’ve ever had!” Thank you, Sawyer, for dedicating your doggy days to help our students learn!
